2024 November Team - We're All In This Together

 Finally!

All 25 of us are in the same place.

It didn't happen during our 9 months of preparation.

It didn't happen when we left the SEMC parking lot.

It didn't happen when we picked up 10 of our team in Wyoming, ON.

It didn't even happen when Granpa Greg met us at the airport in Toronto (who flew in from Thetis Island, BC yesterday).

(And by the way, a huge thanks to our bus driver, Bailey, for getting us there on time, and altering her route to ensure that all went smoothly).

Once we landed, we met with Deb and Chelsea, from Lethbridge, AB.

All is well...even in the travel day we have seen the Lord answer prayers for healing, peace, perseverance and endurance.

Thanks for joining us on the adventure of discovery and learning the Lord has in store for us. If you want to pray into our theme verses, asking for God to direct us according to His truth, then we would welcome this: Isaiah 58

“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
    and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
    and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
    and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
    and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
    and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness[a] will go before you,
    and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
    you will cry for help, and he will say:

Here am I."

Tomorrow, we start at 7am, and then we're off to meet 20 families, whom we will work with and play with, while 20 houses get built - celebrating the faithfulness of God.

  3. Ive commented from last to first in your sharing.

    I’ve read your journeys, , testimonies/stories and see the Lords blessings (for everyone) involved in building 20 homes for El Salvador families in great need.

    All orchestrated by the Lord’s love. How awesome for us all to witness the extended gifts of community in faithfulness to each other and to the blessings given and equally received.
    I Love Isaiah 58.

    Have a safe trip home.
